Dear Eric,
It is not possible for me to record adequately my gratitude for your kindness in attending last Wednesday evening's dinner party at the Manufacturer's Golf and Country club. Suffice it to say, I was overwhelmed at the number of former law clerks who would substantially inconvenience themselves to be present.
Please be assured I shall always remember you and your contribution to my judicial service, and the pictures Sue Gantman took will serve as a precious reminder of you and of a truly glorious evening.
In closing, I extend my very best wishes for a long, distinguished, and satisfying legal career.
